Setting up a Photography E-Commerce Website

Setting up a photography e-commerce website was more than I bargained for. I thought it would take about two weeks to make Debbie Photos  a live and functioning e-commerce website. Little did I know two weeks would turn in three months of round the clock work.

My first mission was to find an e-commerce Photography WordPress theme that would be a perfect fit for my photography needs.

After a weeklong search I found a theme to my liking.

Then I started the hardest part of this journey,  understanding and configuring the woo-commerce plugin – setting up taxes and shipping rates as well as payment options and procedures.

I carefully snapped  and uploaded my artwork, got the site secured and eventually figured out the products page without killing someone.

There were times during the course of the three months that I wanted to give up and simply pay someone to do my website –  but that would involve spending additional money and entrusting someone with my work and vision.

That was simply not an option so I hunkered down and eventually the site was finished.

In the end, I was a very happy camper to finally launch my photography e-commerce  website.
